Sez Kristiansen is a poet, nondual meditation guide and writer whose work explores the meeting place between embodied nonduality, deep ecology and recovery.
Born and raised in Southern Africa with Nordic roots, her life has been shaped by a deep relationship with nature, a love of wandering and a lifelong inquiry into what it means to belong. Her own experiences of addiction, recovery, trauma and depersonalisation led her beyond traditional self-improvement and into a lived exploration of wholeness, embodiment and consciousness.
She is the author of several books, including Healing HER, which has reached more than 80,000 readers worldwide, as well as Story Medicine and Whole In The Body. Her guided meditations on Insight Timer have been listened to over 500,000 times, and she writes a newsletter on Substack.
Through poetry, meditation and essays, Sez invites people to rediscover what is already here beneath striving and self-judgment: a deeper intimacy with themselves, the natural world and life itself. Nature remains her greatest teacher, and her work points toward the understanding that healing is often less about becoming someone new and more about remembering what has never been missing.

Worth Knowing
Sez Kristiansen is a poet, nondual meditation guide, and writer who has built a quietly substantial following by exploring the hard territory where embodied spirituality meets real recovery. Born and raised in Southern Africa with Nordic roots, she writes and teaches from lived experience—she's moved through addiction, recovery, trauma, and depersonalization, and rather than turning those experiences into a commodity or self-improvement narrative, she's made them the foundation of her inquiry into what wholeness actually means. Her work spans guided meditations on Insight Timer (over 500,000 listens), three published books including Healing HER (reaching 80,000 readers), essays, poetry, and a Substack newsletter. What distinguishes her from more conventional spiritual teachers is her refusal to separate meditation and poetry from the embodied, ecological, and recovery dimensions of a human life. Her readers and listeners respond to her because she points toward an understanding of healing that isn't about transcending the body or your past, but rather remembering what was never actually missing: your own presence, and your belonging to the living world.
