Healing with Nature: Listening to the Medicine of Winter
1,5 horas

meditation workshop
Descrição
This free online meditation workshop invites you to listen to the medicine of winter through nature-based mindfulness and somatic practice. Led by Rochelle Calvert, a licensed clinical psychologist and ecodharma teacher, and offered by Drala Mountain Center in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado, it is open to anyone who wants to slow down with the season, whether or not they have meditated before.
Winter, as this workshop sees it, is a sacred pause that asks for slowness and stillness and a turn inward. The session offers a supportive space for healing, regulation and reconnection with the rhythms of the Earth in the colder months.
What to Expect
The gathering is a live online session of ninety minutes, held on a Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 pm Mountain Time. It moves through three kinds of practice: nature meditations, guided reflections on winter's medicine, and gentle movement grounded in seasonal awareness. Somatic practices for nervous system regulation run through the evening.
Through these practices you are invited to:
- Develop access to deep nervous system regulation
- Cultivate an embodied sense of being with nature
- Deepen connection to the seasonal winter cycles of nature
The workshop also serves as an introduction. The practices and concepts offered here are taken up in more detail in Rochelle's winter solstice retreat, which she teaches on the land at Drala Mountain Center. If you are curious about that longer, in-person offering, this session is a way to meet the approach first.
