Meditation Teacher · Glasgow, Scotland
Inner Space Glasgow is a meditation and personal development centre offering a welcoming place to pause, reflect and reconnect. It is managed by the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University (UK), and its approach comes from the practice of Raja Yoga meditation. The centre shares meditation and practical ideas that support peace of mind, self-esteem and a more positive, steady way of living.
The first Inner Space Glasgow opened on Glasgow High Street in 2009. It later moved to Shettleston in 2021 and has been based at Red Tree Bridgeton since January 2024. Over more than four decades, its courses and events have been offered across Glasgow in libraries, community centres, hotels and even prisons.
At the heart of the teaching is the question "Who am I?", and the idea that when we change, the world changes. The emphasis is on transforming one's own consciousness rather than changing others or circumstances, which helps people move beyond blame and towards self-awareness, personal responsibility and inner clarity. Some people come for a bit of quiet, others explore Raja Yoga more deeply, and everyone is free to take what feels helpful.
Rose Goodenough coordinates the centre and has practised and taught meditation since the early 1980s. Marilyn Gordon, events facilitator, has practised and taught since 1996. A small team of volunteers runs every activity, and sessions are free of charge.
