Autechre @ L'Aéronef

Step into a sonic dimension where electronic sound becomes a gateway to presence and transcendence. Autechre, the legendary English electronic music duo, brings their meticulously crafted soundscapes to L'Aéronef in Lille for an immersive late-night experience on Friday, October 16, 2026. If you've ever felt music move beyond entertainment into something that rewires your nervous system and opens doorways in consciousness, this is the invitation you've been waiting for.

For nearly four decades, Autechre has pushed the boundaries of what electronic music can be—not as background or spectacle, but as a transformative force. Their performance is less a concert and more a sonic meditation: intricate, algorithmic, deeply intentional. Whether you're a longtime traveler of electronic music or someone seeking a transcendent experience that speaks to the soul, this event offers a rare opportunity to witness two pioneers at the height of their powers, crafting sound in real time.

What to Expect

Autechre's performance is a carefully choreographed journey through evolving textures, hypnotic rhythms, and moments of crystalline clarity. Rob Brown and Sean Booth work in subtle conversation with their equipment, building layers of sound that wash over you with precision and presence. The experience unfolds gradually—there is no forced climax, only an intelligent unfolding of sonic complexity that invites deep listening and embodied surrender. You'll leave with a renewed sense of what music can do: not entertain, but enliven.

About the Artist

Autechre are an English electronic music duo comprising Rob Brown and Sean Booth, both from Rochdale in Greater Manchester. Formed in 1987, they have become among the most respected acts on Warp Records, the legendary UK electronic label through which all their full-length albums have been released. Over three decades, Autechre have refined a distinctive aesthetic rooted in precision, experimentation, and an almost scientific approach to sound design—yet their work maintains a deeply human, meditative quality that transcends technical mastery.
