About This Event

Description

This 200-hour yoga teacher training immersion at Trilogy Sanctuary in La Jolla, San Diego, is a 23-day, in-person intensive for people who want to teach yoga and are ready to work with the nervous system, the body and the heart along the way. It is therapeutically rooted and leads to Yoga Alliance 200-hour certification when all requirements are met. The training is led by Gabrielle Blachley, E-RYT 500+, with a team of guest teachers, and it welcomes students of all experience levels.

What to Expect

The training holds 200 contact hours across 23 days, including three rest days. Each day follows the same rhythm. It opens at 7:00 AM with a sacred circle, meditation and community share, followed by a group yoga practice at 8:00. Lectures, experiential modules, posture clinic and practice teaching fill the morning from 9:00 and the afternoon from 1:00, with a break at noon. The day closes at 5:00 PM with another circle and share.

The curriculum moves through three phases. Walking Your Path covers initiation into yoga, dharma and Patanjali's eight limbs, with opening and closing ceremonies featuring live music. Stepping into the Body includes a posture clinic on more than 80 asanas, embodied anatomy and biomechanics, sequencing, hands-on adjustments, injury prevention, trauma-sensitive yoga and adapting practice for diverse bodies and life stages. Stepping into the Mind and Spirit takes in yoga history and philosophy, the Yoga Sutras, Sanskrit, meditation, pranayama, mantra, mudra, the subtle body, kirtan, holding sacred space and a day of karma yoga service. You also learn to teach Trilogy's signature flow and to build classes that reflect your own voice.

Guest faculty add depth: Sita Rose leads kirtan and musical meditation, Kristi Kuttner and Kelli Martin teach Yin and Reiki, and other sessions cover breathwork and sound healing, Ayurveda, aerial yoga, acro and partner yoga, and a plant connection workshop. Each trainee also has a one-on-one mentorship session with Gabrielle.

About Gabrielle Blachley

Gabrielle Blachley is the lead facilitator and an E-RYT 500+ with certifications and continuing education from India, Guatemala, Chicago, Maui and San Diego. She has led more than 35 yoga teacher trainings, continuing education programs and mentorship experiences in San Diego, and has taught movement and yoga for over 20 years. Raised in Chicago, she trained as a ballet dancer until an injury ended that path and led her to yoga. She went on to study and train in Hawaii, Europe, India and Morocco, and founded Monarch Yoga Shala, a donation-based school in Chicago. Her work includes transformational mentorship, restorative yoga programs and a monthly gathering for women.

About Sita Rose

Sita Rose is a San Diego musician and vocal empowerment teacher with more than ten years as a board-certified music therapist and yoga teacher. Her work draws on modern psychology, embodiment and NeoTantra. She released her debut album, In Essence, in 2018.

About Kristi Kuttner

Kristi Kuttner is a yoga and meditation teacher, Reiki Master and somatic guide in southern California. She holds a 500-hour teacher training and guides rest practices through Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, sound healing and Reiki, with a focus on safety and nervous system care.

The Setting

Trilogy Sanctuary sits in the hilly seaside village of La Jolla. Training takes place in a rooftop geodesic yoga dome open to the sky, with ocean views, and in other indoor spaces. Trilogy Cafe serves organic vegan food, and trainees receive a discount there during training hours.

Before You Go

Every participant takes a class with Gabrielle and has a conversation with her, by phone or in person, before registering. A deposit is required, and enrollment is intentionally limited. Required reading is sent in a welcome letter after registration. Certification depends on attending all contact hours and completing the home projects, and it is not guaranteed. Instruction is in English.

Tuition includes four months of unlimited mat access at Trilogy Sanctuary and a 10% discount at TOTEM Boutique during the training. Meals, accommodation, textbooks and travel to La Jolla are not included.
