Sherrell Moore-Tucker is the founder of Sacred Rhythms Ministry, a chaplain candidate and wellness teacher who helps followers of Christ build biblically based disciplines and wellness practices that deepen their relationship with God. Her work is made for people with full plates and hungry souls. She holds that God meets us in the margins of a busy day, in the breath before a hard conversation or the quiet at the end of a long one, and that those small moments are enough.
Sherrell has more than ten years of experience in wellness and Christian ministry. Her training includes a 200-hour yoga certification, Christian and Biblical meditation (informed by the teachings of Rev. Dr. Kendrick D. Weaver of the United Methodist Church), natural and holistic health, mindful movement, and trauma-informed movement practices. She is a certified health minister, a Biblical coach, and has studied mat Pilates and mindful resilience for trauma recovery with the Veteran Yoga Project. She is pursuing a Master of Divinity in chaplaincy at Wesley Theological Seminary, and she also holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan University.
She shares guided Christian meditations, breath prayers, scripture meditation and practices for anxiety and sleeplessness on YouTube and Insight Timer. In person, she leads small groups and retreats that bring spiritual disciplines together with embodied prayer, and she serves in her local church as a small group facilitator. Her work has taken her to organizations including Bon Secours Retreat & Conference Center, Kaiser Permanente, the Arthritis Foundation, Hospice of the Chesapeake and Prince George's County Public Schools.
Listeners describe her voice as calming and friendly, and her meditations as centering and faith-inspired.
