About This Event

Description

Awaken Abundance is a women's retreat at Drala Mountain Center in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado, built for women who want to put down the thoughts of "I'm not enough" and "it's too late" and step into the new year with a clearer sense of what is possible. Over a weekend of yoga, meditation, breathwork, visualization and journaling, the group looks closely at the scarcity stories that quietly shape daily choices, and practices a mindset rooted in possibility and gratitude.

The retreat is led by Sasha Woodard, a yoga and meditation teacher and retreat leader. It welcomes women of all ages, backgrounds and levels of yoga experience.

What to Expect

The weekend runs from Friday afternoon to Sunday midday and moves at an unhurried pace. Check-in at the Guest Services Cabin is open from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Friday. The evening begins with an opening circle and orientation, followed by dinner and a community gathering.

Saturday is the fullest day. It starts with morning meditation and vinyasa, then breakfast. After that comes a guided breathwork and visualization session, lunch, and an interactive abundance mindset and goal-setting workshop. The afternoon leaves open time to hike, rest or reflect, followed by an afternoon yoga class, dinner and an evening gathering.

On Sunday the group meets for morning meditation and vinyasa practice, then breakfast, guided journaling and reflection, and a closing circle. Departure is by 12:30 PM.

The yoga is all-levels vinyasa, and meditation is practiced both morning and afternoon. Between sessions there is room for conversation, laughter, reading and quiet. Participants leave with a vision for the year ahead and practical tools for meeting challenges without losing sight of what is possible.

About Sasha Woodard

Sasha Woodard has shared yoga and meditation for over 14 years. She has guided students through yoga classes, retreats in Mexico and Colorado, and corporate wellness programs. She also facilitates a monthly women's group focused on connection, authenticity and personal growth. Past participants describe her as skilled at supporting each person at their own level while still offering challenge, including people who don't practice yoga regularly.

The Setting

Drala Mountain Center sits in the mountains near Red Feather Lakes, Colorado, and the retreat takes full advantage of the crisp air and quiet. Hiking and time outdoors are part of the weekend's rhythm.

Lodging is chosen at checkout, and every option includes meals and drinks:

- Dormitories: gender-segregated shared rooms for up to 7 or 8 people, with a shared bathroom and showers down the hall.
- Monk Rooms: private rooms with a bed, closet, large window, desk and chair, and a shared hallway bathroom. A more affordable choice with more privacy than the dorms.
- Single and Double Rooms: a bit more space, a dresser and closet, and an attached three-quarter bathroom with toilet, sink and shower.
- Junior Suite: a queen-size bed, desk, dresser, closet, sitting area and private bath with a bathtub.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.

Before You Go

No yoga experience is required. Sasha offers modifications and variations so each woman can practice at her own level. The retreat is taught in English.

No. The vinyasa classes are all-levels, and one past participant said she doesn't attend yoga regularly and was nervous about the mix of abilities, but felt Sasha supported everyone at their level. If you are looking for an advanced or intensive physical program, this retreat's focus on mindset and reflection may not be what you want.
