The 17th Karmapa's Return:Signs and Reincarnation Prophecy

Karmapa
Karmapa
Dec 8, 2020
10 min read

This video documents the death of the 17th Karmapa in 1981 at age 17 and the spiritual and investigative process his disciples undertook to locate his reincarnation. Using a sealed letter left by the Karmapa containing prophecy signs—including references to geography, birth animal signs, parents' names coded in Buddhist symbols, and other markers—the lineage holders deciphered clues that led them east across Tibet. The account interweaves testimony from monks, dreams that guided the search, the discovery of the sealed prophecy letter years after his passing, and the eventual identification of the young reincarnate child through a combination of spiritual revelation and careful interpretation of hidden instructions.

What Is the Karmapa Lineage and Why Does Reincarnation Matter?

The Karmapa represents one of Tibetan Buddhism's oldest and most important unbroken lineages of enlightened teachers. According to the speaker, this lineage traces back to the time of the historical Buddha Shakyamuni in the 700s BC through a continuous chain of masters who have attained enlightenment and the ability to guide their own rebirth. Unlike the Dalai Lama lineage, which is often better known in the West, the Karmapa tradition is even older and holds central importance in the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism.

The 17th Karmapa held the title through the symbolic "black hat," which represents spiritual leadership and authority within the lineage. When he passed away in 1981 at just 17 years old, his death created an urgent spiritual responsibility: his disciples were obligated to find and recognize his reincarnation to maintain the unbroken transmission of teachings. This was no ordinary succession; the search would span years and thousands of miles of harsh Himalayan terrain.

How Did the 17th Karmapa's Death Become a Sign Itself?

The speaker describes the moment of the 17th Karmapa's passing as marked by visible spiritual signs. A rainbow appeared in the clear blue sky over Sikkim on the day of his funeral—a phenomenon the speaker notes holds deep significance in Tibetan Buddhist culture. For practitioners, such signs indicate that an enlightened being has left the physical body and is moving toward rebirth. The Karmapa's death was not hidden but publicly mourned; millions of his disciples from around the world came to pay respects during the state funeral at Rumtek Monastery in Sikkim.

Before dying, the 17th Karmapa entrusted his responsibility to three senior monks—called interim principal teachers—who would oversee the search for his return. These elder teachers became the custodians of an extraordinary secret: a sealed letter containing prophecy clues that only they could open when the time was right.

What Was Hidden in the Sealed Prophecy Letter?

One of the most dramatic elements of this account is the discovery of a sealed envelope that the 17th Karmapa had handed to a trusted teacher at the beginning of 1981. The letter itself was placed in a silk pouch inside an amulet, and the teacher received instructions written on the outer wrapping: "You should open it in the year of the iron horse." The year of the iron horse in the Tibetan Buddhist calendar occurs once every 60 years. The teacher kept this amulet sealed for over a decade, following tradition, until 1992—the year of the iron horse.

When finally opened, the letter had been preserved in its original, untouched form. The speaker explains that even the envelope and pouch were kept as sacred relics, now protected and displayed in the Great Tung Lam ancestral temple of the Karmapa lineage. What the letter contained was not a simple name or location, but a series of encoded prophecy signs written in Tibetan—a cryptic message that only those trained in Buddhist symbology could decode.

How Do Buddhist Symbols Encode the Birth Parents' Names?

The prophecy letter's core message was structured in a poetic, symbolic form. The speaker translates and explains the letter phrase by phrase, revealing how each line contained hidden clues about where and to whom the reincarnate child would be born. This was not straightforward language but required interpretation by the lineage holders—monks who understood Buddhist cosmology, Tibetan place names, and the system of animal signs used in Tibetan astrology.

The father's name was encoded through Buddhist symbolism: the sun, which represents "means" (upaya) or masculine wisdom, and the moon, which represents "wisdom" (prajna) or feminine wisdom. Through this system, elders deduced that the father must have a name beginning with a syllable associated with the sun, and the mother a name connected to the moon. The precision of these symbolic encodings suggests the Karmapa left nothing to chance—every detail in the prophecy was a key to unlock the identity of his reincarnation.

Geographic clues were equally intricate. The letter referenced "from here to the north and east of Xuy Tuyet, the territory has a swirling sound, Khanh Thien resounds"—phrases that monks recognized as referring to specific regions of eastern Tibet. The word "escaping" or "sacred" was identified as pointing to a particular area, and further details about "auspicious nomadic land with the auspicious cow" narrowed the search to regions where pastoral communities lived with cattle.

What Was the Significance of the Birth Animal Sign?

In Tibetan Buddhism and astrology, every person is born under one of twelve animal signs—snake, dragon, rabbit, tiger, ox, buffalo, and others—each associated with different qualities and cosmic forces. The prophecy letter predicted that the reincarnate Karmapa would be born in the year of a specific animal that also had symbolic connection to "work with the land"—suggesting a pastoral setting. Through careful analysis, the monks determined the animal sign was the buffalo, pointing to a birth year of 1985, the Year of the Ox in the Tibetan calendar.

This seemingly small detail was crucial because it narrowed the search to children born in 1985 in the designated geographic regions of eastern Tibet. The Karmapa's prophecy had built a precise filter: a child born in 1985, in a nomadic area of eastern Tibet, to parents whose names matched the encoded Buddhist symbols, born perhaps in a place marked by special spiritual significance.

What Role Did Dreams and Spiritual Visions Play?

The speaker recounts that before the letter was opened, one of the senior monks received a dream that became instrumental in directing the search. In this dream, the monk saw a valley full of natural rocks in the highlands—a specific geographic vision. Another voice or presence told him, "This is where the Karmapa was born." Dreams in Tibetan Buddhism are not dismissed as mere subconscious activity but are understood as another channel of spiritual communication, especially when they arise in the context of sincere practice and dedication.

The monk who had the dream carried this vision forward, driven by what the speaker describes as "a sincere heart, a person carrying hope." This spiritual intuition, combined with the logical decoding of the prophecy letter, created a dual approach to the search: rational interpretation of symbols and geographic clues alongside openness to spiritual guidance. The result was that the search party knew roughly where to go and what signs to look for, but also remained receptive to unexpected revelations.

What Journey Did the Search Party Undertake?

Once the prophecy was decoded, the task of actually finding the child required traveling across some of the world's most difficult terrain. The speaker mentions that the journey involved traveling "over a thousand miles" through the high Tibetan plateau, enduring harsh conditions and severe altitude challenges. The Tibetan plateau sits at approximately 14,000 meters, and the speaker notes the extreme difficulty of such travel at that elevation.

The search was not a casual pilgrimage but a serious expedition, reflecting the magnitude of what was at stake for the Karmapa lineage. Every child born in the targeted year and region became a potential candidate for investigation. The monks would interview families, ask about the children's early signs or unusual behaviors, and listen for any indication that a reincarnate master might have been born into that household.

What Were the Confirmation Signs When the Child Was Found?

When the search party finally identified a candidate in a remote valley of eastern Tibet, the speaker describes how multiple confirmatory signs aligned. The child was indeed born in 1985 in the year of the Ox, in a nomadic pastoral region marked by the landscape features described in the prophecy. The parents' names matched the decoded symbols from the letter. The child's birthplace itself—a valley full of rocks in the highlands—corresponded to the dream vision that had guided the search.

But beyond these factual alignments, the speaker emphasizes that when the actual reincarnate was recognized, there were behaviors and utterances that demonstrated continuity with the previous Karmapa. The child apparently spoke his first words in a manner that struck the monks as reflecting spiritual knowledge or awareness unusual in an infant. While the exact nature of these early signs remains delicately described in the video, the implication is that the lineage keepers witnessed something that confirmed, in their understanding, that the consciousness of the 17th Karmapa had indeed returned in this new form.

How Does This Practice Fit into Buddhist Philosophy on Rebirth?

The entire process of recognizing a reincarnation rests on Buddhist philosophical foundations about the nature of consciousness and continuity after death. The speaker frames death not as an ending but as a transition. In Buddhist cosmology, consciousness is not created at birth or destroyed at death; rather, it continues in a beginningless cycle of rebirth (samsara) driven by karma and habitual patterns. An enlightened being like the Karmapa, who has cultivated extraordinary spiritual realization, is understood to have conscious choice over where and how they are reborn.

The Karmapa's ability to leave prophecy signs that would guide his disciples to his next incarnation presupposes this view: that the being who died in 1981 possessed both the consciousness and the intention to communicate across the boundary of death through a sealed letter. From this perspective, the prophecy letter is not magical thinking but the expression of a master's deliberate intention and unbroken awareness spanning lives.

What Challenges Did the Reincarnate Karmapa Face After Recognition?

The speaker touches on tensions and difficulties that arose after the reincarnate was identified. By 1992, when the prophecy letter was opened and the search accelerated, Tibet was under Chinese occupation and control. The speaker references how religious practice was "severely restricted," and the political climate was hostile to free spiritual activity. The identification of the young Karmapa and his recognition as a tulku (reincarnate master) would not have been welcomed by Chinese authorities, who saw Tibetan Buddhist leadership as a potential threat to their control.

There are implications in the speaker's account that the young reincarnate and his family faced difficult circumstances as a result of his identification. The Karmapa lineage had already experienced upheaval; the 16th Karmapa and his followers were forced to flee Tibet in 1959 when the Chinese took political control, establishing themselves in exile in Sikkim and Nepal. The 17th Karmapa's reincarnation would be born into this context of Tibetan resistance and Chinese restriction on religious freedom.

Where to Go From Here

Understanding the Karmapa's reincarnation story offers insight into how Tibetan Buddhist lineages maintain continuity of teaching and leadership across centuries. The combination of spiritual practice, symbolic knowledge, logical deduction, and faith in signs demonstrates a sophisticated system for recognizing reincarnate masters. For those interested in deeper exploration, the history of the Karma Kagyu lineage, the role of the black hat ceremony, and the lives of the Karmapas from the first to the present day provide further context. The current (17th) Karmapa's life after recognition—his education, his teachings, and his role as a bridge between Tibetan Buddhism and the modern world—continues this unfolding story. Additionally, studying the philosophical underpinnings of rebirth in Buddhist texts, the concept of tulkus in Tibetan religious culture, and the relationship between prophecy and intention in Buddhist thought enriches understanding of why such recognition processes are considered valid and meaningful within that tradition.

[0:28] I'm serving the waves.

[0:50] I would you know that would...

[1:39] Hi, hello gentlemen, where are you from? Yes, from the

[1:50] monastery. I haven't let you

[1:54] practice for how long. You've been practicing for a while now,

[1:57] and

[2:00] where are you going now? Yes, it's far, but at

[2:03] least three hundred miles to get to

[2:04] Lhasa. How long does it take to get

[2:06] there? About 3 months.

[2:10] How many ceremonies do you perform in a day? Yes,

[2:12] about 3,000 in a day. That's

[2:16] not even a mile.

[2:18] [music]

[2:23] Uhuh

[2:24] This train is a person who practices

[2:27] spirituality the most. An Loc, the strong Lam

[2:31] Son in the courtyard and the thoughts of people... uh uh uh

[2:54] uh

[2:55] For the Tibetan people, everyone at

[2:58] least once in their life makes a

[3:00] pilgrimage to a very far place where they pray to the spiritual master who

[3:03] guided their spirituality. The person who left

[3:06] Tibet in 1959 was when they had to

[3:09] face the threat of Nguyen Ngoai. In

[3:11] China, they venerate and completely destroy the

[3:15] catappa when you are interested in alpha, the

[3:19] ancient leader of the

[3:20] long-standing Buddhist lineage of the Casio tradition, which is even

[3:22] older than the lineage

[3:24] of the Dalai Lama. Amata, along with

[3:27] over a hundred monks, traveled across the

[3:30] land to leave their homeland.

[3:33] Like a ceremony of nurturing the seed,

[3:36] Amata's teacher quickly established 35

[3:39] new and flourishing Buddhist teachings

[3:41] in this place

[3:53] called Zyrtec, a monastery

[3:55] in the Shiki region, formerly a

[3:58] small Buddhist kingdom in northern

[4:00] India, located south of the

[4:02] Himalayas.

[4:06] Here, Amata is the leader holding the black hat, a

[4:11] symbol of his spiritual leadership.

[4:13] He is the living connection of an

[4:16] unbroken chain of

[4:18] enlightened beings from the time of the historical Buddha

[4:20] Shakyamuni in India in the 700s BC. The

[4:23] Buddha

[4:32] Shakyamuni, in his comic book style,

[4:34] shared his teachings with his disciples, who were

[4:35] enlightened beings. And

[4:38] capable of helping their disciples also

[4:40] attain liberation, in the 12th century

[4:43] this lineage of enlightenment had the first

[4:46] Amata, who then

[4:49] developed the ability to

[4:51] accurately predict the next reincarnation through

[4:53] his writings to the

[4:56] second and third Karmapas, and so on until the

[4:58] 16th

[5:03] reincarnation. He passed away in 1981 at the age of 17.

[5:06] His body was cremated at

[5:10] Zotac Monastery. That was the state funeral day,

[5:13] and people came

[5:16] from all over the world to attend. The Karmapa has

[5:18] millions of disciples. On the day of his passing, he handed over the responsibility to the three

[5:22] young representatives, also known as the

[5:24] interim principal teachers, to the sama on the right and

[5:28] left

[5:32] at the waiting station to Gold Station. The

[5:37] crazy chicken is the youngest principal teacher. A

[5:40] rainbow appearing in the

[5:46] blue sky of Shiki. For

[5:49] Tibetans, it is a sign that an

[5:51] enlightened being has left his physical body.

[5:54] In Buddhism, death is not the end. The

[5:57] Buddha is the one who has... He passed away,

[6:05] promising that he would reveal

[6:08] clear signs through which he would be

[6:10] recognized in his next life.

[6:13] However, it has been a long time and no

[6:16] clue has been found until the statue of 11 ginseng roots. I

[6:18] saw it in a dream. Dream

[6:24] force made me say that day

[6:28] in a certain location, and I saw that

[6:32] day the camera was born in a valley

[6:36] full of natural rocks in the Highlands. Oh,

[6:45] Mom, Dad, Luxury hiend YouTube, and I have to

[6:51] calculate the

[6:52] male and do I have to use small strength? The film

[6:58] has opened up

[7:01] all the beautiful streams, and those are the

[7:06] main images. Then someone is there

[7:10] and tells me that actually there is no

[7:13] form at all, but someone sleeping. Some spirit

[7:17] told me this is where Kamata was

[7:20] born. Yes, yes,

[7:24] where could that be? How could they

[7:28] find

[7:31] him? Where did he get that from? North India is where

[7:57] he contemplated one of the main

[7:59] temporary substances of this country and

[8:01] discovered something amazing. Yes, yes,

[8:05] he was driven by a sincere heart, a person

[8:09] carrying hope who predicted that the

[8:10] Kamata child left some signs. In the past, I

[8:13] felt I felt I should open the Karmapa amulet that the Karmapa

[8:15] had given me on the 10th of the previous month, on a

[8:17] peaceful day. On it was written, "

[8:19] This item will protect you and will be

[8:21] useful someday." The Karmapa had given me this amulet, a silk pouch,

[8:27] around the beginning of

[8:30] January 1981. One day I saw

[8:37] a snake there. I opened it and

[8:41] took out a pouch

[8:43] with a red inscription that said, "

[8:46] You should open it in the year of the

[8:49] iron horse." I was very, very

[8:54] happy. Then I took it

[8:59] to Hutech in March

[9:02] 1992. It's a tradition that amulets like

[9:09] this should never be opened, but

[9:12] no one could find any clues. And

[9:15] the Rebirth of Nuk Amata. Finally, on that day, I

[9:18] opened it. The letter was still there, the letter was still

[9:21] in its original form. Both the envelope and the pouch were

[9:24] rubbish on the altar. Here, in the

[9:28] library of the school, the Great Tung Lam ancestral temple

[9:30] of the Amata clan, the most important and

[9:32] sacred evidence, protected by the

[9:35] police. The needle, both inside and outside, is

[9:38] completely devoid of any calculation; it

[9:41] needs only the body

[9:43] at the table when returning in a new rebirth, only then will there

[9:46] be the right to still see the practice of Feng.

[9:57] However, I have a copy of the

[10:07] letter here, written in

[10:09] Tibetan. So I will read it aloud: "

[10:18] Brothers and sisters, bring the slaughtering lake, always

[10:23] be blessed. The Dharma realm has no

[10:26] center and no source. From here to

[10:32] the north and east of Xuy Tuyet, the

[10:34] territory has a swirling sound, Khanh Thien resounds,

[10:36] and a place where there are people

[10:38] with the sign of a cow, the

[10:41] means is below, and wisdom is raga. Please

[10:44] enter the year of the species, the work is connected to the

[10:46] land with the sound of four sides from afar, there is a

[10:49] white object, that is the person known as

[10:51] Kamala, recognized by the standing dupa,

[10:53] without distinction of sect or system, in

[10:56] all directions, not close to anyone and

[10:58] not shunning anyone. He is the

[11:00] protector of all sentient beings, the sun, the Buddha

[11:02] Dharma, always benefiting sentient beings. On the contrary,

[11:04] when I discovered this, I was very

[11:08] happy, Elise

[11:10] A, and truly felt relieved." Finally,

[11:16] he left. It was precisely the blessing and

[11:20] inspiration in the sublime aspect

[11:23] that we had been waiting for. I'm

[11:27] a stick now. Finally, we have been

[11:32] blessed. So I feel very

[11:37] happy. Yes, yes.

[11:44] I just... the message in this letter was

[11:48] explained together on the left side of the day of taking care of the

[11:50] child. The monk and sama on the right side

[11:54] explained the meaning. This was

[11:56] unanimously agreed upon in terms of content and meaning. And it was

[11:58] read to us by the monk.

[12:02] From here to the North, the eastern part of the Snow Land,

[12:06] we explain this by always

[12:08] considering where the Karmapa wrote this letter,

[12:12] and the eastern part of the Snow Land means

[12:16] we must go to the East of Tibet

[12:18] to find the day because the theory is the

[12:21] Tibetan name of Tibet. Yes,

[12:24] yes.

[12:24] [Music]

[12:28] performed by Nguyen Thi, the thunderous month

[12:33] program, fan alludes to a small area

[12:35] east of Tibet, meaning

[12:39] sacred and escaping, meaning

[12:42] thunder, only one community in east of

[12:44] Tibet called escaping, further

[12:48] describing that land

[12:50] more accurately with... Details of the auspicious Nomadic Land

[12:53] with the auspicious cow as the material,

[12:55] meaning because many beautiful nomadic lands,

[12:58] this region must have a name starting with "

[13:00] Mr." It's a pity that three cows means "cow." Oh, so the

[13:09] next circle, the means is

[13:12] below and wisdom is "raga," predicting the

[13:15] parents' names. This relates to

[13:18] Buddhist symbols: the sun, symbolizing

[13:25] means, has a masculine element, and the

[13:28] moon, symbolizing wisdom, has a

[13:30] feminine element. The father must have a

[13:33] single name before, and the mother a yellow chicken. At the

[13:37] top of the platform, in the year of the animal, there is

[13:41] work associated with the land. Predicting the

[13:43] green of the deity during the

[13:46] appropriate time, according to custom, there are also

[13:48] snakes, dragons, rabbits, and tigers. There is only one

[13:55] sign of the animal related to work with the land: the

[13:57] buffalo, 1985, the Ox. The symbol from

[14:03] sound with the distant miracle, there is a white object

[14:05] talking about conch shells. The white color is used

[14:07] in people's spiritual rituals and is always

[14:09] called a white object, protected by

[14:20] Dolly Oppa. Speaking of the day, the person

[14:24] with the noble name is the temple. In

[14:26] her previous life, she

[14:28] determined the reincarnation of the previous Karmapa

[14:30] and was chosen to carry out

[14:32] this mission again. Another time, you

[14:37] gave this to her,

[14:40] she focused intently on this broken thing. I don't need to

[14:44] think about the accuracy of the

[14:46] letter; it's very accurate. Anyone who thinks that

[14:50] Nguyen Thong's information in the letter and the way

[14:51] he explains it will help them

[14:54] find the reincarnation of the

[14:56] Karmapa, I can say so, and it's very

[15:01] clear and very accurate. And that's

[15:04] why we are very confident about it. You know,

[15:07] finding the holy Karmapa is

[15:10] different because of many obstacles regarding

[15:12] visas. A copy of the letter was sent

[15:14] with you. I'll explain it to you. The

[15:16] Tibetan text is the age of the

[15:20] Kamata. Eight hundred years have passed...

[15:28] [music]

[15:34] the days of Autumn. Western Chien Tu. The

[15:38] Abbot gave me the challenge of

[15:40] leading the search according to the instructions in the

[15:42] letter. Take me to Lego, go on a

[15:45] backpacking trip to visit the eastern region of Tibet. The

[15:48] reincarnation of the Karmapa is a

[15:50] strange thing. As well as offering a cup made

[15:53] from pure blue fasalina pearls,

[15:56] hoping that after 12 years of waiting

[16:02] all our wishes will

[16:05] be fulfilled, the letter that, according to my sister, yes, yes,

[16:15] for me, this is the greatest challenge

[16:19] in my life. Only a few people

[16:22] know this mission of mine because the

[16:24] instructions and circumstances can be

[16:26] distorted and the Search can therefore

[16:29] fail as quickly as possible. Curious, I

[16:32] began the journey with my companion, a

[16:33] 70-year-old Lexus, whom everyone wanted to

[16:37] avoid, so I explained and the

[16:40] driver, along with and on, no one in Tibet

[16:44] was allowed to move without

[16:45] permission, so Petra, wearing a

[16:48] black coat, a government official,

[16:51] accompanied them. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,

[17:05] on a journey of over a thousand miles to

[17:16] Lhasa and having to go through 7 military checks, yes, yes, yes, yes, like

[17:30] this, Pashtun, he simply said

[17:35] that he was on official survey

[17:37] and he pronounced it for us. Thanks to

[17:40] this, Tomo, we won't tell

[17:44] anyone what we're looking for.

[17:46] Let's pretend we're pilgrims. Yes, yes,

[17:52] because the work they have to do is very

[17:56] risky because the search for reincarnation is

[17:58] classified as superstition by the

[18:01] Chinese government and carries

[18:03] heavy penalties. Therefore, they have to keep the purpose of

[18:05] their trip very secret. And if

[18:08] they really find a reincarnation, they

[18:10] hope that it will bless them.

[18:13] But this reincarnation is not like ordinary reincarnation; it's a

[18:15] living thing, and the

[18:17] Chinese will trigger an uprising in

[18:19] Tibet. If they choose to condemn it as they are

[18:22] doing with many others, because for the past 30 years, the

[18:25] Tibetan people have been

[18:27] severely restricted from practicing

[18:29] their spiritual disciplines. However, during that time, only

[18:32] a few monasteries were chosen for the

[18:34] rebuilding

[18:36] [music]

[18:37] in monasteries labeled as centers of education

[18:41] for all people. The nation on the roof of

[18:45] the world is growing rapidly with Western Europe or, to a

[18:47] lesser extent, with the United States, with only a living

[18:50] population. Since 1960, Beijing has been

[18:54] oppressing Tibet with half a million

[18:56] troops and occupying the country.

[18:58] To this day, over 8 million Chinese people have been killed, and

[19:00] more than 1 million Tibetans have been

[19:02] killed. The country has been plundered,

[19:04] its natural resources looted,

[19:06] and almost all

[19:08] wildlife has been wiped out

[19:10] before the Chinese began building

[19:12] roads. One can see

[19:14] large herds of white donkeys and

[19:17] gazelles; today, only a few species remain.

[19:19] Tibetans kill

[19:21] animals for pleasure or to exploit them.

[19:23] Perhaps their beliefs are largely

[19:26] nomadic. They live in harmony with

[19:28] nature, not in conflict with it.

[19:37] My love, exploring the vast

[20:05] Himalayan valley is so challenging that it requires choosing

[20:07] a specific day to cross, like a ship breaking down

[20:12] and no one being able to help.

[20:14] The weather is so cold that you

[20:17] can drive on the surface of the Dong Da River,

[20:18] but in this world, water

[20:21] melts, and extreme weather continues

[20:23] day after day. I am

[20:37] here, searching for something with no place to rest. The

[20:41] mistakes of the monks of the monastery, the master's

[20:43] responsibility is great. If they

[20:46] cannot find the camera, they will

[20:48] shock millions of people. They

[20:50] believe that reincarnation is a natural law. The

[21:02] search game, this stage must

[21:08] shift to a journey on horseback towards the

[21:10] source. This Lan garbage has no

[21:12] main road, requires four people to ride and a

[21:15] plastic container for transporting goods within

[21:16] w20. Sending is even rarer and not easy to

[21:19] lock, but there are friendly words,

[21:21] quickly reaching an

[21:23] agreement before bending people always give alms

[21:29] and drops of drink for

[21:30] other souls. This is made from oats or

[21:34] salted butter tea, tasting like something rich and

[21:36] fatty. The horses of the Himalayas are

[21:49] small but very strong, not wasting

[22:01] their efforts. The

[22:02] search procedure. At this time, the burial part

[22:05] of the journey begins, a day's journey

[22:07] on horseback through

[22:09] high roads and over dangerous mountains.

[22:36] [Music]

[22:49] The monks of the master's have repaired the staff and

[22:52] gone ahead to... Exploring the

[22:54] cliffside path to see if there were any Party members and to find the

[22:57] owner resting at the old lock

[23:02] after only 3 days of riding horses in age on

[23:05] Kali and John arrived restored above the

[23:08] Goroth Library which was

[23:10] completely destroyed with the 1966 sweep

[23:13] and recently rebuilt. The

[23:18] librarian, acting as an offerin, welcomed the group of people who

[23:21] had left their names as exemplary fighters of the

[23:22] Ford car day to live in prison for

[23:25] 25 years. Now the teacher is taking care of all the

[23:27] boys brought to Ly Thu Monastery to

[23:29] study. Maybe the land of Ca Mau is

[23:34] among them.

[23:36] Yes, I see pandan, are there any special boys?

[23:40] Recently, many boys from

[23:44] Cuba have returned to the monastery, and

[23:47] although I have the ability to recognize

[23:48] which children have special abilities or abilities, I

[23:51] cannot see

[23:52] who they were in their previous lives. It would be sad.

[23:57] Traditional cuisine shows that, and in the

[24:00] previous reincarnations of the Kamala,

[24:01] they identified themselves with the

[24:04] first words, "I am Umma," in the case

[24:08] with such a boy.

[24:10] His personal data always has to be

[24:12] accurately compared with the instructions in the

[24:14] prophetic letter, uh uh.

[24:24] The teacher printed the words, Tomoe and Lexus

[24:29] not only interviewed me, but I will also

[24:31] go and ask the people

[24:32] living around the monastery.

[24:39] Uh, this never, I always... then

[24:45] it goes up... what is it? They asked

[24:49] me about the name Pako. I answered yes, there are three

[24:53] girls, it's the name of a valley of

[24:55] cows, not far from here, and they

[24:58] wanted to know if there was a woman

[25:00] named Raga, and her husband's name...

[25:04] a little later, a man said they

[25:07] were relatives of that family and

[25:10] learned more about all the children of that

[25:11] couple. So I told them

[25:16] rollagas and there are six daughters, three

[25:18] sons, the biggest one must have

[25:20] been born in the year of the Rabbit, the second child in the year of the

[25:23] Ox, and the youngest in the year of the

[25:25] Pig. When they heard that, one of the teachers

[25:28] clasped his hands together and wiped his eyes.

[25:33] From early morning... After they continued their

[25:39] journey, if everything went smoothly, the flowers

[25:41] could reach three girls for that day. Twelve years

[25:56] of waiting, and now only one

[25:58] more leg to cross. Uh, uh, uh, uh, the

[26:18] Thaco car. The valley of those who

[26:38] achieved their goals lives here. There are no houses, no

[26:41] letters, no electricity.

[26:43] But I will... my master finds it hard to

[26:46] imagine that an enlightened being like

[26:48] the Karmapa, a Buddha, could choose

[26:51] this place with the worst interior to be reborn. Maybe this is the

[26:53] reason. Uh, uh,

[27:02] brother, is this the rule of jealousy?

[27:10] I spit. People still live the way they

[27:14] did in primitive times. There are many. The

[27:28] final conversation. The search party

[27:37] found the nurturing of the previous name and Raga.

[27:44] If what they heard is true, then

[27:46] the second son born in the year of the Ox

[27:47] of that couple must be

[27:49] Kamata. Uh, uh, the

[27:55] guidance in the holy letter and the

[28:20] reality they found here

[28:22] completely match the dream of the Buddha. It

[28:24] has been verified.

[28:29] In a valley and those... A small

[28:34] and beautiful stream, and someone told me, "Oh, this is where the

[28:40] squamata were born?" Yes, yes, it was

[28:46] 33 years after the 10th Karmapa, the

[29:04] evil rabbit would sweep through the

[29:06] Chinese, and I, Sophie, was completely

[29:09] destroyed. The 17th camera once again returned to

[29:12] the ancestral place, the effort of Canada, the

[29:17] cycle and awakening from this life

[29:19] to the next. That is what most of the

[29:21] Tibetan people admire and respect.

[29:24] They don't give the day as a little boy, asking what they

[29:27] saw on that day, a complete convergence of the

[29:29] wisdom of 16 lifetimes in

[29:32] the cycle of Buddha-nature.

[29:46] I sent it

[30:04] when people only gave the day of his judgment

[30:18] at the Great Hall of the Buddha, it was

[30:23] n't this little boy crying loudly, making a

[30:26] fuss.

[30:32] Yes, Vinh received the notification immediately, the

[30:34] day after tomorrow, Kama was found, the monk

[30:37] came to pay respects, and on that day, one of the monks

[30:55] sang, one of the same one, and

[30:57] they all came together, supposedly the

[31:00] new kometa was reborn.

[31:08] In Tibet, these Absolute Moments are

[31:30] not performed arbitrarily.

[31:32] Considered a solemn spiritual tradition

[31:34] in

[32:08] I would you would the

[32:37] master teacher and head of the rituals of

[32:40] the Karmapa in the land, how

[32:47] much of the Amata still remembers Master

[32:49] Jose and the other teachers who were very familiar

[32:51] to him in his previous life?

[33:08] And this is the country to take a commemorative photo of the

[33:10] powerful reincarnation of the Amata I... uh uh uh uh uh

[33:23] uh

[33:25] I will continue to quickly spread

[33:30] throughout the world, the qualities and

[33:37] special abilities of the master I

[33:38] will mainly focus on Western technology,

[33:44] trying to make the appearance

[33:46] coincide with the common living industry, concerned

[33:47] with Buddhism outside of Asia, the

[33:51] little son with a happy family has

[33:53] been officially recognized as the

[33:55] reincarnation of the Samara country by Ton Duc Da

[33:58] again... what is based on the recognition

[34:01] of the master, what I do is I usually do not

[34:04] rely on 122 checks. You see, I

[34:10] continue with my usual distinctions,

[34:12] so I have to determine a

[34:14] reincarnation when the guidance is positive. So I'll

[34:19] follow the decision. Yes, that's good. Yeah,

[34:21] okay. Finally, Kamata resigned from

[34:27] his position. Through his practices, the

[34:34] City letters said that he would

[34:38] not be close to this person and would distance himself from that

[34:39] person. He is a blessing to

[34:42] all beings. Yeah, yeah ... A

[36:03] small place on the ground, the

[36:07] first Kamata, the beginning of his reincarnation,

[36:09] and that person belonged to the 12th century, there was no

[36:12] monastery, only a desolate, remote place.

[36:14] Meditation days were spent there, the place was

[36:17] clean and tidy, then bored, so he entered the beginning to master and

[36:19] enjoy himself.

[36:25] There are a total of 16 Kamata lives, all

[36:31] clearly identified by the perseverance

[36:32] they left in the previous topic, and in

[36:35] this way, the reincarnation life has been

[36:37] maintained for 800 years.

[36:40] [Music] is

[36:42] very much like the first Kamata, famous for

[36:45] his miraculous deeds, and I think the

[36:48] formation around his simple loss

[36:49] at shuffle,

[36:52] you said, is similar to the first Kamata

[36:54] because of the experiment of withdrawing from life.

[36:57] I retreated to the prison in the provinces and

[37:00] in the caves. These remaining hermitages

[37:03] are for pilgrims to worship. The

[37:05] large cave is still in use. The fact that

[37:09] I survived here in the winter with

[37:12] temperatures as low as -40 degrees Celsius is full proof

[37:15] of the spiritual power and the transgressions

[37:21] within this hidden sanctuary. Along with

[37:23] his mother, the 10th Karmapa

[37:26] spent 30 years practicing meditation repeatedly. The strict adherence to the

[37:29] precepts

[37:31] has led to the attainment of profound insight, enabling them

[37:34] to see through the

[37:36] blood-red veil of death. This is the cave

[37:45] where the 10th Karmapa meditated in

[37:47] seclusion throughout his life.

[37:59] [Applause]

[38:05] for Fortuner Vinamilk, all of us.

[38:20] The signs of rebirth, all

[38:28] with the boy before, determined by the

[38:30] prophetic letters of the

[38:32] previous kalamas, becoming outstanding individuals,

[38:35] musicians, poets, builders of houses, and also

[38:38] possessing a talent for money. Sister, the

[38:45] 9th Karmapa sat

[38:51] here and left the imprint of his back on the

[38:53] rock. Those who offer their tea

[38:56] here sometimes curse and cause illness.

[38:59] [Music]

[39:02] um um

[39:09] um Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,

[39:19] his unwavering resolve, undisturbed by

[39:25] anything, is the only way to transcend the

[39:27] limitations of the body to

[39:31] achieve the highest enlightenment. The 7th MB

[39:33] has practiced here for 7 years

[39:36] without any verbal or

[39:38] visual contact. What is translated? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Yes,

[40:05] he is at an altitude of 15,000 liters, accompanied by Meta, has

[40:16] a hidden preference. Yes, yes

[40:26] [music]. Yes, yes,

[40:35] in this house, he has wholeheartedly endured

[40:39] an earthquake and the

[40:41] Chinese attack in 1966.

[40:47] Here is proof of the power of

[41:02] Buddhism spreading. Because although

[41:04] many things have happened in recent years, the

[41:06] 17th camera can once

[41:09] again reclaim the ancestral temple and bring new

[41:12] life to the ancestral place. From there,

[41:15] death and rebirth in

[41:17] another idol with another nation,

[41:20] transcending political boundaries that were once

[41:22] insurmountable in the previous body

[41:25] and the exile button. This... This is my

[41:29] first horseback excursion of the day since

[41:31] returning, master. These

[41:34] past few days, the garden below

[41:36] and the path outside the Super Monastery gate

[41:39] pass by the guardian deity, Hara, who is the

[41:43] guardian of the Buddha's lineage.

[42:00] From 400 years ago, when the first Canadian

[42:04] was born, the first Buddha, Padmasambhava, the

[42:07] founder of the Tibetan region,

[42:09] declared that to fulfill the vow

[42:12] of the Kamata art, it would require 21

[42:15] reincarnations. The Syrian people are the 17th reincarnation

[42:18] of that event.

[42:52] However, life is recovering, lacking

[42:55] something. There's a demon crawling

[42:57] in this rock. That's right,

[43:01] we have to get rid of it, otherwise something

[43:02] bad will happen. Can it wait until

[43:04] tomorrow? If not, take it

[43:11] out now, and don't look so tired. I will

[43:15] show you where it should be. Here

[43:20] it will be together with here, like a

[43:32] wall that can be erased. If

[43:34] we move the rock, shouldn't

[43:35] we let it support the wall?

[43:39] Okay, let's get started. In

[43:56] Tibet, it's not uncommon for the Demon King

[43:58] to enter a rock and cause mischief there. A

[44:01] special ritual to break a

[44:03] rock with the purpose of driving

[44:06] out demons is quite common. Obviously,

[44:15] this demon is particularly annoying, and the

[44:17] Canepa wanted it planted there.

[44:20] I talked to it, they

[44:32] gave it a ritual. Only

[44:34] monks are allowed to dig a burial hole

[44:37] and plant many flowers. Oh,

[45:20] it will be peaceful here.

[45:42] You guys walk the cat path. Just stay there

[45:50] and calm down. Yes, yes. Is it

[46:00] just a day of imagining

[46:03] all those things? It seems like a day with some

[46:06] intuition that we don't have

[46:11] when it comes

[46:18] to sex. Today, this guy, Situ, and

[46:55] Yan Star have arrived. They have prepared

[46:57] something special for today. Today,

[47:05] the monastery's holiday can last

[47:08] for several days. Tibetans love

[47:11] picnics and outdoor activities.

[47:14] [Music]

[47:18] Mr. Thiet has gone through 12 lifetimes, between the

[48:13] past, I was the 12th incarnation, and the Venerable Master

[48:15] was the 17th. We've met again and are stronger

[48:18] for the family.

[48:20] For a gathering like

[48:26] this, even the strict Master,

[48:28] like the one who was one of the three most important

[48:31] temporary figures, has become cheerful. Four dancers are dancing up and

[48:34] down in the Tibetan Zone, dancing out of rhythm.

[48:39] Yes, surprises are ready. Now,

[49:03] the camera can go in and watch. Yes, yes,

[49:08] there's a generator, a TV,

[49:18] and a video player brought from NASA. I

[49:21] know it's for today. The

[49:23] My Dinh car

[49:32] is right here. I've never seen anything like

[49:45] this before. Previously, at least in

[49:48] this life,

[49:51] when Messi was playing football, he brought a

[49:54] special film to open for the Kamata to watch. Yes,

[49:58] yes, yes,

[50:08] yes,

[50:10] there's a film about Germany, the opening is the 16th. Yes, yes, the

[50:25] organizations are sensitive to music. Samson, born in

[50:30] 1924 in Tibet, did exactly as the

[50:33] Venerable Master prophesied, and is the founder of the

[50:37] organization. In the 8th century, the monastery will be the

[50:40] center of activities for successive generations

[50:43] of the Three Masters. Their activities

[50:47] will help countless beings attain liberation. The

[50:54] family images in Tibet show close ties

[51:01] with the Kamala people, and they always

[51:04] generously offer donations to the monastery.

[51:05] Tibetan people assert that in a

[51:08] new rebirth, the Compact One will one day

[51:12] return to the master. He was

[51:20] born in 1974. The

[51:29] 16th Amata gave blessings to

[51:31] Westerners upon their arrival in America. He had

[51:49] already arrived in the remote region of Cadrona to exchange vows with

[51:51] some American friends. The thing is, he will create a

[51:53] robux. The Hufi people have a prophecy that

[52:08] says that at any wedding, a

[52:09] man wearing a red hat will arrive until the bridge runs dry.

[52:12] The wisdom kept within him will be established

[52:19] in

[52:20] the song he listens to for the arrival of the

[52:27] Amata. The Hope II people organized a

[52:29] meeting. If their doctor had them, they

[52:31] knew very well that the Kamala had been completed.

[52:33] To persevere, their tribe knew Amata. Afterward, he

[52:39] went to many other cities in the United States.

[52:50] He has no name after the sky goes to the

[53:10] Buddhist center where the remnants of the tradition were established

[53:16] [music]

[53:22] [music]

[53:41] [Applause]

[53:43] [music]

[53:48] at ah ah Hey, son, it's

[53:52] related to the continuation of the

[53:57] enjoyment of the master.

[54:00] What is there something that is maintained from generation

[54:03] to generation

[54:05] when emergency surgery of the ventricular level

[54:07] replaces a certain first purpose

[54:11] [music]

[54:13] a brief thought that a direct connection

[54:16] between this life and another life

[54:18] can be achieved by

[54:20] subjective personal experience. We

[54:23] have Buddhists who believe that each

[54:26] person is outside the connection of spiritual heritage

[54:29] as well as biologically. Yes, yes,

[54:35] for Thomas Avatar, he is a spiritual descendant

[54:38] of Qatar.

[54:41] In terms of biology,

[54:43] this is the father, the opening day, before

[54:46] Chelsea, 54 years old, and this is the mother,

[54:49] Rollagas Poulsen, 46 years old. Yes, yes,

[54:56] earlier, the family didn't live in

[55:00] the East, in the Khang area, in the

[55:02] Asus laptop area.

[55:07] And this is not allowed. Pako, their family

[55:22] has lived here for generations. II

[55:30] for me when I was able to participate. 33 was born

[55:33] in 1985. Their mother, Laka, had given

[55:36] birth to seven children, six daughters and two sons.

[55:42] They were born shortly after their mother

[55:46] asked for a son from Brussels.

[55:52] All twelve of them lived in

[55:54] this hut. It was exhausting; the climate on

[55:58] this 14,000-meter plateau was extremely

[56:00] harsh, with temperatures fluctuating from -14 degrees Celsius to

[56:04] over 10 degrees. After the birth of their

[56:07] fourth daughter, the family longed for a

[56:09] second son. When their sixth child

[56:11] was also a daughter, they decided to seek

[56:14] important guidance from the

[56:16] old abbot of Gallup Monastery. Following the

[56:19] abbot's instructions, they learned how to

[56:21] have a second son: to help

[56:23] those in need, to feed the fish in the river, to

[56:26] feed birds and

[56:29] stray dogs, and to recite the

[56:32] mantra of taking refuge 111,000 times.

[56:36] Sometimes another daughter was

[56:39] born because the old abbot had passed

[56:42] away. The

[56:44] successor on that day gave them similar instructions.

[56:47] Furthermore, the day suggested a

[56:49] pilgrimage to Nasa. The person went to Lhasa

[56:53] while the mother stayed home with the family

[56:55] and continued chanting 50,000 times.

[57:01] She chanted, then the Ga, during her pregnancy. Everyone

[57:04] in the family prayed even more

[57:05] diligently. The father also prayed 50,000 times,

[57:08] but most often more than a thousand times a

[57:11] day. This was the practice of the grandmother, and she recounted

[57:14] that when the mother gave birth to her daughter, there

[57:16] were signs of Rollagas, which would bring

[57:18] great benefit to the Buddha.

[57:36] He asked for the number of her works. She always offered

[57:48] alms to the Buddha, even cooking the first batch. Now,

[57:51] a Buddha is a member of

[57:53] her household. However, her devotion

[57:55] remains intact. The

[57:57] couple's dry, cold climate of Tibet,

[58:07] 20 or more cups of salted apricot tea, is

[58:10] what helps them cope with the cold.

[58:18] Their main food is Sapa flour,

[58:23] black oatmeal, and also butter. In

[58:26] addition, they eat a considerable amount of meat and vegetables

[58:29] that cannot grow on this plateau.

[58:33] Their eldest son... They Repsol, 27 years old, are in

[58:36] charge of the family's livestock. They have

[58:40] about 90 buffaloes, enough to

[58:42] meet their needs, with a surplus of

[58:44] liquid and butter for them to use as

[58:47] bartering, and oats grown in the lowlands. Yes, yes,

[58:55] I take all my parts, I

[59:55] refuse to take the meat and milk. The

[59:57] pumped leg is considered a thread to make the liquid evenly. It's

[59:59] tiring, long. The buffaloes are made into hundreds of

[1:00:02] coats to wear in winter and summer

[1:00:06] [music],

[1:00:09] and nothing is left because

[1:00:13] this land is very sacred. II

[1:00:40] since 1985. The Yamata family's summer pasture is

[1:00:44] only a valley away from them.

[1:00:53] I breastfeed once a year. During the period they

[1:00:56] packed their belongings and moved the

[1:00:59] herds to the new grazing land

[1:01:02] [music]. Yes, yes, yes,

[1:01:09] yes,

[1:01:13] at the academy, the whole family is there. At the beginning of

[1:01:15] number 6, in the last month of Rollagas' pregnancy,

[1:01:20] 111,000 times, the chanting is still not finished. They

[1:01:23] worry, wondering if this time it will

[1:01:26] be a child. Is he a boy? She invited me to see the

[1:01:28] white crane that brought her

[1:01:30] a golden letter from this land, too, ha,

[1:01:32] samara, the ancestor of the Tibetan serpent, when

[1:01:35] the birds told her to keep the

[1:01:37] letter until the right time,

[1:01:42] the shark and the spear, what's wrong

[1:01:47] here? And in this document is where the

[1:01:49] moba was born on June 26,

[1:01:52] 1985, meaning it was an easy birth,

[1:01:56] before sunrise on a

[1:01:58] beautiful morning. I can't explain it,

[1:02:05] but in the evening the day

[1:02:07] before, a rainbow appeared on the

[1:02:09] document even though it was already sunset.

[1:02:12] Of course, I never thought that the baby

[1:02:14] would be a karmapa, as many

[1:02:16] auspicious signs appeared with the

[1:02:18] boy's birth, making us very happy

[1:02:20] and giving us certainty that

[1:02:22] he would easily be a blessing of Buddhism.

[1:02:27] That's the local one, on the day of his birth, the king of

[1:02:32] birds perched on the roof of our tent

[1:02:34] and sang a wonderful sound on the

[1:02:41] third day after he was born,

[1:02:43] in surprise, hearing the sound of The sound of

[1:02:44] horns echoed everywhere. At first, I

[1:02:48] thought it was the sound of an airplane. Everyone

[1:02:50] around heard it too. The

[1:02:52] sound reverberated there for about an hour and a

[1:02:54] half. My uncle's neighbors said the

[1:02:56] spa would come over, and Lactum said the same thing.

[1:02:59] I looked outside but couldn't see

[1:03:01] much. "Let's go

[1:03:27] travel first, then ask the neighbors," I said. "Have you seen

[1:03:34] Lola's second son yet?" I asked. "

[1:03:35] Obviously, did you notice

[1:03:39] anything unusual?" "It was very strange.

[1:03:45] Suddenly, everywhere in the valley, you

[1:03:48] could hear a cheerful sound.

[1:03:50] I thought it was some kind of song, but I could

[1:03:53] n't make out anything. It lasted

[1:03:55] about two hours. When I was outside, I

[1:03:59] thought the sound was coming from inside,

[1:04:01] but when I went inside, I

[1:04:03] thought it was coming from outside." "Excuse me, can I

[1:04:08] ask you a question?" I asked. "When

[1:04:11] Lola's second son was born, do you

[1:04:13] remember anything unusual?

[1:04:16] No special sound? Not good. Everywhere, everywhere,

[1:04:20] safer." "

[1:04:27] Yes, it said it saw money, what number it was, I remember it every week."

[1:04:29] I just thought that A Vietnamese man

[1:04:32] was coming to the valley, bringing an

[1:04:34] orchestra with him. We

[1:04:37] looked around; the music could be

[1:04:40] heard everywhere. I couldn't

[1:04:43] tell where the sound was coming from. There wasn't a

[1:04:45] single Lama. Nothing at all, just the

[1:04:48] music echoing in the air.

[1:04:53] How long did it last? About two

[1:04:58] hours. And what time was it? Summer, the year of the

[1:05:02] Ox. I thought so. Yes, she's

[1:05:05] right. The temple for Khang at Lazada is the

[1:05:20] focal point of Tibetan spiritual power. The

[1:05:21] temple is also below the kamata, the

[1:05:24] palace of the Buddha. Da Lat... ah, ah,

[1:05:27] here, in front of the temple for Khang, the hair of the

[1:05:34] kamata people will be styled according to a

[1:05:36] ritual as a symbolic act

[1:05:38] showing the connection between him and the Buddha.

[1:05:40] Usually, this ritual is performed

[1:05:42] in the presence of a high-ranking Lama,

[1:05:44] but very kamata perform the ritual at the

[1:05:47] foot of the statue. The servo logo is the

[1:05:59] most precious statue of the historical Buddha

[1:06:01] Shakyamuni. This is only the second time

[1:06:05] in Tibetan history, in Germany, that a karmapa

[1:06:07] shop has been seen in such a sacred place. The

[1:06:09] most talented people in Thanh Hoa and Tho received

[1:06:11] Dharma names for this life. Talent region, along with

[1:06:20] other titles, now the time

[1:06:24] has come. In the old days, they dyed their hair with various strands,

[1:06:26] and

[1:06:27] I need to become a monk. A

[1:06:38] religious ceremony like this can be performed

[1:06:40] with the clear understanding of the

[1:06:42] Chinese occupying forces, simultaneously with

[1:06:44] their political influence. The truth is that

[1:06:47] the Chinese consider reincarnation a

[1:06:49] superstition, yet they still

[1:06:52] recognize dantri as Kamala. Furthermore,

[1:06:55] they do this because their political enemy, the

[1:06:58] Dalai Lama, has recognized the

[1:07:00] day as the true reincarnation. Based on

[1:07:04] actual observation, it is impossible to return to

[1:07:07] Tibet, and even his name is forbidden. The

[1:07:09] Tibetan people are

[1:07:11] extremely satisfied to see Kamala receive the celebratory scarf

[1:07:14] from the Dalai Lama in the

[1:07:17] full presence of the invading Chinese. Yes, yes,

[1:07:28] in Tibet now there is a

[1:07:38] spiritual leader right in the country,

[1:07:40] someone who has a close connection with the Dalai Lama.

[1:07:42] This is only the first step,

[1:07:44] but it is a sign of hope. The survival

[1:07:46] of Buddhism is all about the

[1:07:58] baby's day. Kamata is

[1:08:15] free to travel the world, meet

[1:08:17] his disciples, and fulfill the vows of the

[1:08:19] 16th Karmapa. Russia will have to

[1:08:21] act politically delicately between

[1:08:24] warring China and Tibet and the

[1:08:26] outside world.

[1:08:33] Yes, if it were possible for someone to

[1:09:12] decide the place and time for

[1:09:15] their consciousness to be reborn into another body,

[1:09:16] one might ask

[1:09:18] why the Buddha was

[1:09:21] chosen to be born in England. He could have been

[1:09:24] born in this country or in the United States,

[1:09:26] where he passed away, or asked to be a prince of

[1:09:29] Bhutan, but that didn't happen. These

[1:09:31] are friends who play together, their

[1:09:33] lives are almost identical,

[1:09:46] yet he is completely different.

[1:09:51] Could it be that his compassion

[1:09:54] prompted the camera to choose

[1:09:56] this place, these people, and

[1:09:59] this suffering country for his reincarnation,

[1:10:03] when his mother, Yaga, only had cow dung to

[1:10:07] use as fuel for cooking and

[1:10:09] heating their hut

[1:10:15] ? She had to flatten them to dry them

[1:10:20] for her children when she was young. She went to collect firewood, the kind of

[1:10:24] wood found in the forest near her

[1:10:25] house. A little bit of

[1:10:29] sadness, a place of mistakes. Like

[1:10:32] all the vast sadness of eastern Tibet, there was

[1:10:34] once a vast forest with

[1:10:37] trees so large that a man would need to

[1:10:39] stretch out his arms if he

[1:10:41] could to encircle the trunk. What

[1:10:44] happened to the forest when I was

[1:10:48] little? This was a whole area of dense forest,

[1:10:51] but in the last few decades, the trees have been

[1:10:53] cut down from mountain to mountain, completely

[1:10:56] stripped bare. All that remains here are

[1:10:59] tree stumps. This is all that

[1:11:01] remains. Miraculously, it was released to

[1:11:05] China, and now there is nothing left. It's

[1:11:09] terrible. Dad wishes you a happy

[1:11:16] birthday, sister.

[1:11:21] This little tree gets water. Mama, a short time

[1:11:24] before he returned, shuffled

[1:11:27] these streams almost completely dry up, and

[1:11:29] we had no water left to

[1:11:31] use or to feed the livestock. And now

[1:11:36] it is very much like to return to Germany. Karmapa to

[1:11:38] perform a ceremony on the spot when the new day

[1:11:40] arrives. If he doesn't keep... This stream, the

[1:11:46] summer meadows up there are

[1:11:49] gone, and we'll have to move

[1:11:50] down to the river to find water for the livestock.

[1:11:52] Many of the animals there might be

[1:11:58] ruined. Urea has a

[1:12:07] close connection with the 16th Maharaja throughout

[1:12:09] his life, or perhaps fell into the same land with him

[1:12:12] to the scheme, and now at 72, let's go back

[1:12:15] to the

[1:12:15] game. A single move, usually not interested

[1:12:48] in school, some verses

[1:12:51] memorized after only reading them once.

[1:13:15] Yes, then I only know that we'll go together, that's the feedback,

[1:13:27] then I'll go. On the morning of June 15th, the day of the Holy

[1:13:31] Mother, she came here. The Director of the

[1:13:33] Israel Institute told me that I

[1:13:36] will guide Kamala according to the tradition of the

[1:13:39] monastic order. He will begin learning the

[1:13:41] alphabet as he memorized it at home. He

[1:13:43] wants to learn at home, he will learn very well

[1:13:46] and quickly. It's very similar to the 16th Maharaja, who

[1:13:50] loves birds and likes to play

[1:13:53] all day, and is very similar to the

[1:13:55] ancestors who removed all the Thành Long Yuki. I

[1:14:02] will not forget the mistakes. Later, he will have to

[1:14:05] study metaphysics at a high level. The best,

[1:14:08] and someday there will be many more mental formations.

[1:14:12] Therefore, you yourself must

[1:14:14] become a great master

[1:14:16] when you are a living Buddha, applying the

[1:14:18] teachings of the Buddha and spreading them

[1:14:20] throughout all realms of sentient beings. You will

[1:14:25] teach noble things, just as you are

[1:14:38] now, a young boy, and therefore there

[1:14:41] are still things I can guide you through.

[1:14:43] Later, that will no longer be the case. I

[1:14:48] will serve you until I can

[1:14:50] no longer do so. I am not a fully enlightened being,

[1:14:52] so there is not much more to share

[1:14:54] with you. I am old and weak. I

[1:15:03] may die in a month or twelve years,

[1:15:05] no one knows what the future holds. You

[1:15:09] will decide your actions,

[1:15:11] depending on the capacity of your mind

[1:15:13] and the magnitude of your mind

[1:15:15] at the level of your enlightenment.

[1:15:22] [Music]

[1:15:30] When enlightenment is not a gift,

[1:15:32] nor a coincidence

[1:15:34] in life. Before, the Ama attained

[1:15:36] it through the practice of Elegance.

[1:15:38] People say that the 16th Karmapa

[1:15:41] accepted his cancer.

[1:15:43] From the depths of his heart, he

[1:15:45] observed the Tay people,

[1:15:50] a disease that could not

[1:15:52] kill or destroy the body, yet his compassion

[1:15:55] never ceased. One morning I came to him

[1:15:57] and asked if he was in pain. He

[1:16:01] looked at me, smiled, and said, "No, no,

[1:16:03] no pain." That's difficult to explain for

[1:16:06] medical hospitals. Obviously, he did

[1:16:09] n't just deny his illness.

[1:16:10] Because medical staff often

[1:16:12] face patients nearing death,

[1:16:14] I still care more about their feelings

[1:16:16] than his. He passed

[1:16:20] away on November 5th, 1981.

[1:16:22] His disciple invited me into his

[1:16:25] room and placed my hand on his heart.

[1:16:28] Every day I

[1:16:30] felt it was still warm. I was

[1:16:33] n't surprised after 24

[1:16:37] hours, but after 48 and 72 hours,

[1:16:40] I started to feel quite shocked.

[1:16:43] Normally, immediately after death, the body

[1:16:46] becomes cold because the circulatory system is less

[1:16:48] active and in a state of... This German connection is

[1:16:50] really a little warm, still stirring in my heart. As

[1:16:52] a doctor, I have no explanation

[1:16:54] for this case.

[1:17:03] [Music]

[1:17:04] for the words after the death of the Karmapa, the

[1:17:12] disciples, including monks and nuns, continue to

[1:17:15] pray for his early return to

[1:17:17] earth in human form. I, yes, yes,

[1:17:28] a master like a camera, not

[1:17:54] forced to be reborn. He transcends

[1:17:56] all ignorance, worries, and attachments,

[1:17:59] things that force humans to

[1:18:01] return to human form. He is forgiven. Mobile switches

[1:18:03] back when there are people who need him

[1:18:05] and implore his

[1:18:16] blessing. When his consciousness moves freely, independent of whether he takes on human form. 20

[1:18:20] famous thousand-year-old books, the

[1:18:22] Tibetan book on death, state that

[1:18:24] experience is based on the projection of

[1:18:26] thoughts. Projections are images of

[1:18:28] the world, and we create them ourselves. We

[1:18:31] call it reality based on

[1:18:34] this traditional interpretation. When the world

[1:18:36] we are experiencing is just a dream, it's

[1:18:38] like watching a movie in which...

[1:18:40] The emotions are very real. For us,

[1:18:42] looking back, it doesn't affect much the fact that

[1:18:45] we're sitting watching a movie in the theater. A

[1:18:47] friend believes that life is just a

[1:18:49] metaphor; the experience continues after

[1:18:52] death. The projection is consciousness, something

[1:18:54] immortal that must

[1:18:57] continue, as people say. If we

[1:19:00] become aware that it is

[1:19:03] our mind that creates that movie, or rather,

[1:19:05] that experience, then we

[1:19:08] can stop the projection of our mind

[1:19:10] and become vigilant, so that the

[1:19:12] mind's thoughts are abundant.

[1:19:16] However, our negative thoughts

[1:19:20] repeat themselves from the beginning because the projection of

[1:19:22] that movie happens not only during

[1:19:24] life but also during death.

[1:19:28] There are countermeasures to death,

[1:19:34] even mentioning the experience during the

[1:19:36] dying process. Without relying on

[1:19:38] the body, it's much more intense and

[1:19:42] can last for days before

[1:19:43] we realize we're dead.

[1:19:47] Usually, he's aware of it. Just

[1:19:49] because the people around us no longer

[1:19:50] recognize us

[1:19:52] [music]

[1:19:55] when we no longer retain the

[1:19:58] program, we're used to eating something. We

[1:20:01] maintain that from here is death, even though

[1:20:11] we have a choice: either eliminate

[1:20:13] suffering by breaking the cycle of beautiful girls,

[1:20:18] or return to the world of suffering

[1:20:21] with the hope of finding familiar things.

[1:20:22] What is Delta Force? (

[1:20:31] Image above) We continue to pursue

[1:20:37] projections and search for

[1:20:39] ourselves, but there is nothing there soon enough.

[1:21:03] So the solution here is a new body.

[1:21:06] A new body doesn't

[1:21:13] mean a new beginning; it's just the

[1:21:15] digestion of karma that we have

[1:21:17] created for ourselves. (Cà Mau) It's

[1:21:20] said, "Don't fear death." Death

[1:21:23] doesn't end our experiences.

[1:21:28] Following life and death is

[1:21:32] like a river; there's no beginning or

[1:21:34] end, sometimes it's water, sometimes it's ice.

[1:21:41] (Music) (

[1:21:48] When will the family prepare for the

[1:21:53] trip to the green to have a child, to be

[1:21:55] crowned their son with the status of

[1:21:58] a newly born living being? The mind of the

[1:22:00] little brother of the artist Kamata also

[1:22:02] goes along.) For many years, their family had

[1:22:04] longed for a second son,

[1:22:06] and now, with Kamata's birth,

[1:22:08] they were asked for a youngest child, a

[1:22:11] son, to be

[1:22:14] their consolation. The mother breastfed him, and for

[1:22:36] three years, the boy had what

[1:22:38] we often call a peaceful childhood.

[1:22:41] Six older sisters contributed to his happiness.

[1:22:48] Immediately after his birth, his mother told

[1:22:51] one of his sisters to

[1:22:53] fetch water from the river. When she returned, she recounted that a

[1:22:56] sparrow had named

[1:22:58] her new brother Apagard, and so for the

[1:23:01] first seven years of his life, until he was

[1:23:03] found, everyone called him Agha.

[1:23:39] After a long 10-day journey, initially

[1:23:49] on horseback and then on horseback, the

[1:23:52] family arrived at the master's place just days

[1:23:55] before the coronation. The

[1:23:59] family first met little Iboga,

[1:24:13] who made them feel a sense of reverence for the noble camera of the New World.

[1:24:16] The camera of the New World is now an object of

[1:24:19] respect for them all.

[1:24:21] Others

[1:24:23] heard the cries of Hòa and responded to the

[1:24:26] situation neither with pride nor

[1:24:28] sorrow, but with respect and reverence.

[1:24:32] More than once, the father of the Agha on the upper level taught

[1:24:35] the boy a lesson about connections. The

[1:24:37] Tibetan language for Los now, of

[1:24:40] course, makes him feel regretful. Does the boy

[1:24:54] need to force himself to be sad when he has to live separated from his

[1:24:56] family? The boy feels very

[1:24:59] comfortable in the Kamala posture and is one of

[1:25:01] us here. He has had 7 years of

[1:25:04] childhood living freely and comfortably. Spreading

[1:25:06] his mat and praying, he seems not attached to

[1:25:08] them.

[1:25:23] Yes, from now on, the relationship between

[1:25:26] the day and family will be limited to

[1:25:28] visits and messages to the husband.

[1:25:39] In the past 48 hours, hordes of pilgrims have flocked

[1:25:42] to the news that the Karmapa has

[1:25:46] returned and he will be crowned on the

[1:25:48] new moon. The sentence has been broken, and the sun is rising rapidly.

[1:25:51] According to a friend, the

[1:25:53] new moon is always a good time to start

[1:25:54] something, that is when the two

[1:25:57] energies of yin and yang are in harmony.

[1:25:59] Most of the trucks come from

[1:26:02] extremely distant places. When traveling over a thousand miles, it's no

[1:26:05] surprise that many trucks had to abandon the

[1:26:07] goats at the final stretch of the journey. The

[1:26:09] master's destination, a few days

[1:26:14] before the coronation, a large number of

[1:26:16] gifts were

[1:26:19] sent from various monasteries and sects.

[1:26:23] Each item was documented

[1:26:30] and displayed; there was everything from

[1:26:37] ceremonial French dishes to musical instruments,

[1:26:41] pipes and flutes, to

[1:26:45] bags of herbs. The fiscal turn brought us

[1:26:59] there. It was on an early morning long ago when

[1:27:07] the Buddha would once again distribute

[1:27:09] gifts. That was September 27,

[1:27:12] 1992. The karmapa didn't seem

[1:27:20] enthusiastic about this large crowd. (

[1:27:22] See lottery results) There

[1:27:35] were still about 20,000

[1:27:47] pilgrims, including an official

[1:27:50] from Beijing. He came with me intending to

[1:28:05] turn the holiday into a

[1:28:07] political event recognized by China because the

[1:28:09] highest spiritual leader was still in

[1:28:11] Tibet, as they couldn't question an

[1:28:13] uprising. What more bloodshed? On

[1:28:15] this land of the world's roof, someone has a whole

[1:28:18] film crew from Beijing, and it's far away, isn't it?

[1:28:21] Because the officials presented the Orient leaders

[1:28:29] with the Central Committee's red book,

[1:28:33] bearing the seal of recognition as the 17th Living Buddha, Kamala. He's not fat at all. Throughout 800 years of

[1:28:46] history, Kamala was the

[1:28:49] most revered and beloved spiritual master of the

[1:28:51] Chinese emperors. Therefore, China hopes to

[1:28:54] find in this spiritual leader,

[1:28:56] Kamala, someone who can separate the

[1:28:58] barbarians from the Buddha. But it's very difficult.

[1:29:02] Kamala and the Dalai Lama can never

[1:29:04] fight against each other, Kien.

[1:29:08] North Korea, is that

[1:29:15] okay? Even so, Beijing officials still

[1:29:18] intentionally don't want to let Mobile sit in a

[1:29:20] higher court. Online in political position,

[1:29:27] a view on the coronation ceremony to be

[1:29:29] changed. Now that his reincarnation has

[1:29:32] been officially recognized, he cannot be

[1:29:34] accused and persecuted for being considered

[1:29:37] superstitious, and at least there will be a

[1:29:39] limit to the suppression of Buddhism in

[1:29:42] Tibet.

[1:29:50] I went to Phu Tho school, the government handled it

[1:29:58] strictly. The matter is too much with Quynh.

[1:30:02] This recognition expresses the government's respect

[1:30:04] for the religious freedom of

[1:30:06] ethnic minorities, especially Tibetans. The

[1:30:12] policy towards religious freedom is

[1:30:14] stable and long-lasting. As a result,

[1:30:18] we want to see strength and

[1:30:20] socialism and patriotism

[1:30:22] emerge from the monks, believers, and the

[1:30:25] Tibetan Buddhist library management system that

[1:30:30] needs to be preserved. The political part of the

[1:30:49] ceremony lasted about

[1:30:50] A and couldn't impress anyone.

[1:30:55] [Music]

[1:30:56] a nice. Okay, China is leaving. My

[1:31:06] friend rushed forward to find a

[1:31:08] seat for himself, but no one

[1:31:28] said anything. And I didn't cry. Good. The

[1:31:38] Buddhist ritual part of the ceremony can

[1:31:40] proceed at noon, and the

[1:31:43] stars form an unusual constellation.

[1:31:45] Four fire signs in a row.

[1:31:48] This is the appropriate time that was chosen

[1:31:50] for the ceremony beforehand.

[1:31:56] Don't take the letter. Legend knows that

[1:32:13] the Kamata in the front of the body of the deity is now

[1:32:16] given back to him along with

[1:32:18] the letter of recognition from Germany. This is done. The

[1:32:21] prophecy of the pre-national Thi Tài

[1:32:23] is Zalo Saigon,

[1:32:26] a comma, again Yamaha ax,

[1:32:32] going out and coming back, then on the 12th day, we situpa,

[1:32:41] reciting the full Dharma name of the Holy

[1:32:42] Karmapa, the Holy Virtuous Samara,

[1:32:45] Indonesia, and offering in the afternoon the

[1:32:51] symbols of life, grains,

[1:32:54] symbols of abundance, red, symbols

[1:32:57] of earth, all kinds of elements are offered

[1:33:00] on this day to receive the main seal, with a

[1:33:15] profound explanation of the

[1:33:16] interconnectedness of all things in the universe, in the

[1:33:32] mirrors symbolizing color,

[1:33:34] because it only reflects the book of the generals,

[1:33:44] along with to be crowned, the master library

[1:33:46] has and still maintains as the main host

[1:33:49] of the Living Buddhas, Kamata,

[1:33:55] soldiers like the ceremony, could not find a

[1:33:56] seat in the main telephone, listening to the ceremony

[1:33:58] through a large loudspeaker, among them were the

[1:34:13] parents of the Virtuous m3, for the Buddha Dharma they do not

[1:34:16] have special importance and are not

[1:34:18] closer to the Buddha than anyone else,

[1:34:20] looking from the perspective of reincarnation, the

[1:34:23] qualities of the child are inherited from the

[1:34:25] previous life, not from the parents,

[1:34:32] a little to conclude. The ceremony on the day of the Hungry

[1:34:36] Ghost Festival celebrated the entire offering of the mandala.

[1:34:39] This means offering

[1:34:41] what I like and value most, nothing

[1:34:44] more, nothing less, a universe symbolized

[1:34:46] by rice piled on a flat, mirror-

[1:34:49] like surface. I want to go back, and

[1:35:13] outside... oh, yes, yes, yes, yes,

[1:35:26] I now... at this moment, everyone can enter the main

[1:35:29] hall, no one is left behind - they have made

[1:35:32] pilgrimages here to see the

[1:35:34] Karmapa at least once. A

[1:35:36] good reason to give high merit is to keep the

[1:35:39] Kamata from being crushed by the crowd, and

[1:35:42] in one way or another, the

[1:35:44] ceremonial scarves or offerings and individuals must

[1:35:46] reach the place where the Buddha was truly present. It is

[1:36:03] very good, but in the end,

[1:36:22] everything is more orderly, everyone

[1:36:24] can go directly to the temple.

[1:36:26] They receive value from

[1:36:35] the day and can see the day from a

[1:36:37] close distance. For a friend, seeing the face of

[1:36:40] Amata is guaranteed that

[1:36:42] person will not be reborn again.

[1:36:44] That person can be sure that at

[1:36:47] least 7 times they will be reborn into the human realm and will

[1:36:49] not have to bear the burden. Enduring a harsh fate

[1:36:51] [music]

[1:36:56] to gain a firm imprint of the

[1:36:59] spiritual value they have just received,

[1:37:01] each practitioner is given a

[1:37:03] red string with the power to protect them, a

[1:37:12] day-long holiday after 8 hours

[1:37:15] sitting on the throne, the MB is still ready

[1:37:17] to have fun, uh uh. The

[1:37:24] whole next day, after the family visit

[1:37:33] ends, they prepare for a

[1:37:36] long journey home where they continue with their

[1:37:38] nomadic life as before,

[1:37:42] uh uh uh.

[1:37:46] When saying goodbye to the little brother,

[1:38:08] singing, expressing special affection

[1:38:20] [music]

[1:38:25] [Applause]

[1:38:29] everyone in the family feels that

[1:38:32] the virtue is too precious to keep

[1:38:35] with them and joyfully give the day for the

[1:38:38] benefit of others,

[1:38:39] uh uh [

[1:39:03] music]

[1:39:11] uh uh uh uh uh

[1:39:43] uh

[1:39:44] [music]

[1:39:46] mother-in-law, for 7 days straight, the pilgrims

[1:40:01] dance and celebrate, expressing

[1:40:04] their joy at the rebirth of

[1:40:06] Buddha Shakyamuni. Nepal is studying to bring the

[1:40:29] ceremonial music. His first empowerment

[1:40:31] on the path of Buddhism

[1:40:39] here is the first transmission of the Dharma in

[1:40:46] his lifetime, and there will be many

[1:40:48] such empowerments in Tibet and throughout the world.

[1:41:08] This empowerment ceremony emphasizes the

[1:41:11] practice of mind-walking towards all sentient beings.

[1:41:21] The ceremony begins with the Purification ritual. The

[1:42:15] Virtuous Red Flower is valued by the breaking of

[1:42:20] kamata, creating a connection between the day

[1:42:22] and the people there. The quintessential quality

[1:42:31] of a Buddha is the completeness of

[1:42:34] past, present, and future, and a wisdom to

[1:42:38] see through the true nature of all

[1:42:40] phenomena. He concluded the empowerment ceremony

[1:43:09] with the message that there is no

[1:43:11] value or wisdom without Great

[1:43:13] Compassion.

[1:43:43] [music]

[1:44:15] when the driver forgets many things, sir. [music

[1:46:16] ] when children, but not happy, wife. [music]

[1:46:28] [music]
