In every corner of the world, yoga festivals and conscious conferences are creating powerful spaces for transformation. They are where movement meets stillness, where breath meets community, and where seekers become servers. Yet behind every seamless event lies a team of organizers who pour heart and soul into their work — often with little left over after ticketing platforms take their share.
At BrightStar, we believe gatherings rooted in service, mindfulness, and awakening deserve tools that reflect those same values. That's why we created Seva — a free ticketing platform for yoga festivals and conferences, offered as an act of service to the global wellness community.
This isn't a marketing gimmick. There are no hidden fees, no surprise deductions, and no "free trial" that expires. Just a simple, reliable, and beautiful ticketing foundation — free forever.
What Does "Seva" Mean?
In Sanskrit, Seva means selfless service — work offered from the heart, without attachment to personal gain. It's the spirit that moves a teacher to share wisdom, a volunteer to serve food, or a musician to play from the soul. Seva transforms ordinary action into sacred offering.
BrightStar was born from that same spirit. Having served the global sacred music and yoga communities for over a decade — promoting events for artists and teachers like Snatam Kaur, Deva Premal & Miten, Krishna Das, and Jai Uttal — we've witnessed the beauty and the challenge of organizing large gatherings. Ticketing should empower those who serve, not burden them.
So Seva isn't just a name; it's a principle. It's how we bring that spirit of service into the digital space.
A Platform Built by and for the Conscious Community
The story of Seva is deeply personal. BrightStar began as a grassroots effort to bring sacred music to audiences that needed it most. Over the years, it grew into a full-fledged event marketplace serving yoga teachers, retreat leaders, spiritual authors, and conscious entrepreneurs worldwide.
Along the way, one thing became clear: conscious event organizers are different.
They aren't just selling tickets — they're creating experiences of healing, awakening, and transformation. Yet, they face the same logistical hurdles as any mainstream event producer: ticketing systems that take large percentages, slow payouts, and generic support that doesn't understand the mission behind the work.
Seva changes that. It's a simple, direct way to sell tickets online for yoga festivals, conferences, and conscious gatherings without paying any ticketing fees. It's our way of giving back to the very community that inspired us.
Why Offer Ticketing for Free?
Because money shouldn't be the barrier to impact.
Yoga festivals and spiritual conferences often operate on razor-thin margins. Teachers donate their time, volunteers give countless hours, and every dollar counts. Traditional event platforms charge anywhere from 5–10% per ticket, cutting into funds that could support teachers, musicians, or community access.
We wanted to flip that model. BrightStar's Seva plan eliminates all ticketing fees so that every event — whether a small satsang or a large-scale yoga festival — keeps 100% of the ticket revenue (minus standard payment processing).
In this way, Seva becomes a living expression of the yogic ideal: to give without taking.
A Simpler Way to Serve Your Audience
At its heart, Seva is about simplicity. You don't need a complicated system or a long onboarding process. Within minutes, you can:
- Create your event.
- Set up ticket types and prices.
- Connect your Stripe account.
- Start selling.
Attendees receive instant confirmations and digital tickets, which can be scanned at the door using the BrightStar Scanner App. Organizers get a clean dashboard to view sales and basic reports — that's it. No distractions, no upsells, no noise.
Sometimes less is more. When tools get out of the way, your mission can shine.
A Model Rooted in Trust and Transparency
In a world where "free" often hides a catch, we've taken a different path. Seva means no platform fees, no contracts, and no fine print. We don't claim ownership of your data, your audience, or your content. Your event remains entirely yours.
Our philosophy is simple: when conscious communities thrive, we all thrive.
BrightStar's larger ecosystem supports this model through optional, premium marketing services — but those are separate from the free Seva plan. You can grow at your own pace, and when you're ready to expand, we'll be here to support you.
But you don't need to spend a cent to start. Seva is, and always will be, free forever.
For the Organizers Who Serve the Light
Yoga festivals and spiritual conferences aren't just events — they're catalysts for global awakening. They bring together thousands of hearts to breathe, move, chant, and remember who we truly are. Behind those gatherings are people like you — visionaries, coordinators, and volunteers working tirelessly for the good of all.
If you've ever wished for a partner who understood that mission — who built technology with the same consciousness you bring to your work — Seva was created for you.
With Seva, you can focus less on logistics and more on purpose.
Less on percentages and more on people.
Less on profit, more on presence.
Serving the Movement of Awakening
When you choose Seva, you're not just using software — you're joining a movement.
Every ticket sold through BrightStar supports the global ecosystem of conscious gatherings. From local kirtans to international yoga festivals, from mindfulness conferences to wellness summits — Seva connects you to a wider network of kindred organizers and audiences who care about the same values: authenticity, integrity, and service.
The more we grow together, the stronger this field becomes. Each event listed, each ticket sold, each attendee inspired contributes to something far greater — a collective offering of consciousness in action.
A Vision Beyond Commerce
At BrightStar, our vision extends beyond ticket sales. We see technology as a tool for awakening — a bridge between intention and impact. In the same way a mantra repeats to quiet the mind, software can serve to simplify the world's complexity, bringing organizers and audiences closer together.
Seva represents that synthesis: sacred purpose expressed through modern function. It's practical, yes — but it's also devotional.
We call it commerce with consciousness.
