Lubiana's catalog represents a deliberately focused approach to recording—one that prioritizes depth over proliferation. Working between Paris and Belgium as both musician and filmmaker, the artist has built a practice that treats albums not as isolated products but as nodes in a larger network of sound, image, and performance. While the documented discography remains intentionally minimal, what exists speaks to an artist more concerned with integration than output: each release connects to documentary work, to questions of land and ecology, to a touring practice rooted in independent European venues. The albums that do exist—including the central work "Mother Earth"—are distributed across both analog formats (vinyl and CD) and streaming platforms, suggesting an artist navigating the dual worlds of physical presence and digital reach. This is a catalog that asks to be experienced slowly, where scarcity creates space for attention rather than overwhelming the listener with volume.
For devotional listening: Without a complete catalog to draw from, approach Lubiana's available work as a meditation on place and origin. "Mother Earth" serves as the entry point for listeners seeking music that holds questions of ecology and belonging at its center.
For contemplative moments: The integration of Lubiana's documentary film "Terre Rouge" with the recorded music suggests works designed for sustained attention. Let the 20-minute runtime of the film guide your listening sessions—these are pieces built for unhurried engagement.
For energetic connection: While the sparse documentation doesn't reveal uptempo or rhythmically driven material, the touring practice rooted in Paris and Belgium implies music designed for live presence. Seek out performance recordings or video documentation to experience the work in its most activated form.
For healing: The thematic focus on land, earth, and ecological questions positions Lubiana's work as restorative listening. Engage with the available material as sonic inquiry into our relationship with the natural world—music that asks how we belong to place, and how place shapes who we become.
